The Downer NRL Auckland Nines was the only place to be as all 16 NRL clubs boasting over 288 star players descended on Eden Park for this thrilling two-day, nine-per-side knock-out tournament.
The Sydney Roosters survived an epic second-half comeback from the Penrtih Panthers to hold on for a gripping 10-8 win to claim the Downer NRL Auckland Nines trophy for the first time.
