Joseph Parker vs Carlos Takam
About
The Burger King Road To the Title
Kiwi boxing sensation Joseph Parker secured a guaranteed world title shot in the richest boxing event ever in NZ, surpassing the David Tua versus Shane Cameron event in 2009.
Parker's “Road to the Title” returned to where it all began, in South Auckland where he grew up as a young boy, where his army of Parker fight fans rallied behind him in a gruelling encounter.
Parker defeated Cameroon-born Frenchman Carlos Takam, a fighter with highly regarded international experience in a unanimous points over twelve closely contested rounds.
The win for Parker will now see him as the mandatory contender for a IBF World Title bout.
