It was an extraordinary evening of glamour and enchantment, as the Mayor and Mayoress held court for the first ever Mayoress’ Charity Gala Ball, a Moulin Rouge Masquerade.

Mayor Len Brown and his wife Shan Inglis hosted a glittering charity ball to raise money to help provide brighter futures for young Aucklanders.

Months were spent perfecting every magical detail. Guests enjoyed a breath-taking venue rich with world-class performers including Geoff Knight, Elizabeth Marvelly, Tina Cross, Annie Crummer and the Lady Killers as well as a live orchestra. They had the opportunity to rub shoulders with Auckland’s glitterati, dance the night away, and feast on a four-course gourmet dinner accompanied by fine wines.
